After leaving the University of Calgary, Jalene completed her a PhD in Population Ecology at the University of Alberta (2007). Jalene is an Assistant Professor and inaugural faculty member at the Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh. She is teaching Integrated Sciences at the first regional liberal arts university in the region with the mission of providing a high-quality education to women from Afganistan to Cambodia to Sri Lanka.
